Kanyakumari (கன்னியாகுமரி) is a town in Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu state, India. Located at the southernmost tip of India, it is also called Cape Comorin. The closest major town is Nagercoil, the capital of Kanyakumari district.

Kanyakumari is probably the most well know tourist destinations in India. Blessed with stunning coastline and serene forests, Kanyakumari hosts millions of tourists form across the globe every year. Thiruvalluvar Statue, Gandhi Memorial, Udayagiri Fort are few of the attractions of this serene town. The town is also famous for is marvelous view of the sunrise and sunset from the Murugan Kundram Hill.There are a lot of other places to visit in kanyakumari as well.
